This is a custom rig for an 1951 Colt Navy replica black powder revolver made for a friend. The holster is made from 5-6 oz leather and lined with 3-4 oz leather. Eyes are something I use in a lot of my projects and my friend wanted a tie-dyed eye on his holster. The design is close to the California "Slim Jim" style of popular in the American west from the 1850s through the 1870s.I added the backing which has the belt loop and provides an attachment for the parallel angled cross straps. The belt is 2-1/2 inches wide and made of 6-7 ounce leather. The rest of the accessories are 5-6 oz leather. All stitching is hand saddle stitched. Dye was airbrushed and finished with acrylic, then given an antique highlighting. Everything was treated with neatsfoot oil to give flexibility and a supple feel. Since this was for a black powder pistol, a possibles pouch for caps and balls, nipple prick, etc., powder flask holster and knife sheath are included. I provided the powder flask and Ridgerunner bowie for this rig. The sheath is fully stitched cowboy style. My friend requested some Celtic motifs which I used in the overall design, particularly the Celtic letters in the name on the back of the belt. A Celtic belt buckle was also included. Prices for holster without a belt start at $75 and increase with complexity on construction, tooling, lined/unlined and so on. Individual knife sheaths, vary depending on the knife. One like this is $75.00 excluding the price of the knife. Possibles pouches are and powder flask holsters are $65 and up. The price of a holster and belt only start at $250 and rise depending on the complexity of construction. The price on a full on rig like this with me providing the powder flask and knife is $400.00. I do not keep knives or powder flasks in stock, I order them as needed. If you are looking for some custom gun leather, give me a shout and tell me your idea! The design possibilities are endless!

For Harmonica CaseI consider myself an artistic kind of guy and Gene knocked my project (an amazing harmonica case) out of the park! It was just was I was I was looking for and then some. I have already spoke to him about my next project for him. He also has some really cool items in his gallery that blow my mind.

For Christmas 2013I worked with Gene to create a custom leather journal cover for my husband. He took my vision and worked with me to make sure we could create something very unique with my husband's intricate logo. My husband loved it! The only bummer was that even though Gene paid for expedited shipping, it came a couple days after my husband's birthday. He was patient and the wait was worth it.
