If you are looking for a unique, impossible to duplicate piece of functional art, then look no further! This light sculpture will be perfect for your desk, end table, home office, or wherever you'd like to place it. I have assembled this beautiful piece from scratch, all parts were cleaned individually without altering the patina where existing, all the metal has been treated with rubbed wax to seal it and prevent further corrosion. This lamp is fully articulating, it is ideal for any working/reading area or just as a focal point. All the wiring and electrical components are new, except the shell socket which is an antique P & S brass shell socket featuring a brand new built-in full range dimmer. The cord is about 4 feet long and it is heat resistant cloth covered wire. It can accommodate almost any medium bulb (E26) pictured is a vintage A17 bulb (not included). This piece has been numbered and signed. Contact me if you have any questions or shipping inquiries. SHIPPING NOTE: Sh&H cost is calculated by the size of the package, many times the cost will be lower. I will refund any shipping overcharge exceeding $2.00, please feel free to request a shipping estimate. Any imperfections present on the lamp are inherent to the handmade nature of this re-purposed light. *Pictures included in the listing have been enhanced for illustrative purposes. *Due to variations on computer monitor settings, the color of the lamp may vary from one computer to another. Note: As with any handmade item, this lamp should be handled with care, always carry the lamp by holding it with one hand on the base and the other on the body of the lamp, this will ensure many years of enjoyment. IMPORTANT: All my artwork is designed by me and is copyrighted, please be original, don't copy it.

I have been creating unique lighting for several years now, I specialize in custom finishes and hard to find sizes and designs; if you need a specific design I will be happy to work with you to achieve the desired piece.
My finishes are done by hand on solid materials, I don't fake brass or copper finishes on steel; whenever I do custom finishes I do them on real metals, ie; copper, brass.
My work can be found around the globe and throughout the US and Canada, besides individual clients I also have worked with commercial clients such as: Bose - Remodel Moore - Kindred Interiors - C3 Group - We Came in Peace - Consort Homes - NYC Best Bars group - Orchard Lane Studio - KP Designs & Associates - Freiheit Arquitecture - Zio and Sons - Workshop Denver, Fearins | Welch Interior Design to name a few.

For custom wall sconceJay was terrific. He was responsive, patient and accommodating. I had asked him to replicate something that I had seen on a site and he was spot-on. I highly recommend Jay and Retro Steam Works and I will definitely reach out to him again in the future.

For Adjustable Articulating Wall Mount Art Light Brass And Nickel Loft & Gallery SconceI found a picture of a light fixture I wanted in a magazine. My decorator and I looked EVERYWHERE for a similar one. I stumbled on the Custom Made website during this search. Jay seemed to make something similar. I contacted him and through endless emails of pictures and drawings we developed, together, the perfect compromise. Jay could not have been easier to work with, his price was very reasonable and we LOVE the light fixture!
