Butterfly Large Wall Hanging With Vintage Drawer Pulls,Indoor/ Outdoor Art
A ceramic butterfly illuminated within a shadow box surrounded with hand carved turquoise paisleys, this piece is truly a unique art piece that can be place outdoors or inside. It can be set into a kitchen backsplash, the bathroom or bedroom. The style is contemporary, inspired by India textiles and Moorish tile designs. The diagonal purple tile is hand made, stamped with India wood stamps. Everything is laid out in a 20" wrought iron frame and grouted with a contrasting grout color. I collect vintage drawer pulls and so I attached three brass handles below the shadow box. So, even though it is a "pho" drawer it is actually functional for those of you that desire functional art. Feel free to hang lovely scarfs or necklaces from the handles. The glazes are spectacular on this work. It went through 5 firings to get the affect I was looking for. I am a ceramic artist. I sculpt, hand build, throw on the wheel, and design hand made tile. Some of my work is functional, some is for art's sake. All of it is my passion and a gift from God.
I have 30 years of experience in clay alone. I consider myself a person that can do anything (in clay). I have many years experience in custom work, working together and creating one on one designs for clients. My designs are fun and whimsical and I enjoy making people smile. I am all about original. My inspirations come from gardens, nature, southwest desert, and other peoples art or creations.
In all my years in business, I have never had anyone complain, or need me to come back to fix something, or return a custom piece. I have letters of referrals and note cards of overjoyed thanks.
