Little Houses of Fruit. Kiwi, Peach, Star Fruit ceramic wall sculpture. It is inspired by the concept of seeds and what comes from a seed. A seed which produces food, which gives not only nourishment but ideas and growth and prosperity. The seed is a powerful thing that God has provided us with. This piece started out as three, 3 dimensional sculpted tiles. I begin with a slab and build a house frame and then I build into each frame a propotionate fruit or vegetable. Whatever the theme is. Once I have them glazed and kiln fired I place them into a wrought iron frame and place premade mosaic tile around and between the sculpted tiles. The mosaic tiles represent leaves, vines and seeds. It all gets' grouted in to make a bold and whimsical art piece to be placed in your kitchen, garden shed or on a garden wall. It is indoor or outdoor art. Dimensions: 8" L x 16" w x 2.5" d. It comes with a wire on the back for hanging and weighs about 6 lbs. It can be hung with a regular picture hanger. Designed by Robin Chlad, Made in Tucson, AZ. It is part of the "Seed Pod Series" Robin has recently designed. Enjoy!

I am a ceramic artist. I sculpt, hand build, throw on the wheel, and design hand made tile. Some of my work is functional, some is for art's sake. All of it is my passion and a gift from God.
I have 30 years of experience in clay alone. I consider myself a person that can do anything (in clay). I have many years experience in custom work, working together and creating one on one designs for clients. My designs are fun and whimsical and I enjoy making people smile. I am all about original. My inspirations come from gardens, nature, southwest desert, and other peoples art or creations.
In all my years in business, I have never had anyone complain, or need me to come back to fix something, or return a custom piece. I have letters of referrals and note cards of overjoyed thanks.
