She is the state bird for Arizona. This 3-D tile/plaque is meticulously hand sculpted from clay and hand painted with high fire glazes. There is so much details from the pose of the wren, placement of the feet to the painted feathers and flicking tail. The detail of the cactus fruit and background is rich with colors of the desert. I am a ceramic artist. I sculpt, hand build, throw on the wheel, and design hand made tile. Some of my work is functional, some is for art's sake. All of it is my passion and a gift from God.
I have 30 years of experience in clay alone. I consider myself a person that can do anything (in clay). I have many years experience in custom work, working together and creating one on one designs for clients. My designs are fun and whimsical and I enjoy making people smile. I am all about original. My inspirations come from gardens, nature, southwest desert, and other peoples art or creations.
