Cherry Rocking Alien 1
Cherry Rocking Alien 2

Cherry Rocking Alien

$750

The customer was looking for a wooden version of the rocking creature that appears in Naomi Wildman's quarters in Star Trek: Voyager. We think we captured the spirit of the critter with its broad shoulders and prominent ears. We hope it will become a lifetime companion for its new-to-the-universe owner. The alien is made primarily of cherry with ash rockers and accent pieces and finished with clear polyurethane. The saddle is made of basswood, and the ears are made from stuffed cotton felt.

Laughing Coyote Woodworks is a small woodworking business that makes its home in the Green Mountains of southwestern Vermont. Roy learned his craft from his father, Klein, who shared his lifelong love of wood and handcrafted furniture and accessories with his son. When Klein died in 1990, Roy inherited his tools and has been mastering his craft ever since.

If it's made out of wood, we can create it. If you can imagine it, we can build it! We've built caskets, industrial fixtures, speakers, doors, a music box shaped like a Bible; the list goes on. We're happy to make variations on our standard products or create something completely new. We'd love to work with you from your drawings and ideas and turn them into something lasting for your home.
