Forever Spring- Ikebana Style Glass, Copper, And Brass Floral Arrangement

Celebrate spring eternally with this graceful glass arrangement of blooming flowers and branches. Flowing lines, and vivid colors sculptured, and crafted in a Japanese fresh flower Ikebana style arrangement. Some of the most beautiful flowers of spring are included in this sculpture. Pussy willows Forsythia Tulips Grape hyacinths Each individual stem is hand made from copper and glass. The tulips blaze in orange and white wispy stained glass, and constructed in the Tiffany style. The leaves capture so much movement by hand hammering brass. Each pussy willow tuft is flame worked with pearl grey glass, coated with crystal clear. Forsythia branches look as if they were just cut from the bush. Flame worked lemon yellow glass creates each blossom. Tiny grape hyacinth at the base are meticulously flamed with dark and light blue glass. The container is made from an upcycled brass sieve pan that has been reworked and polished, then accents of copper swirls have been added. The flowers are held tightly in their place with a layer of concrete covered with a pond of resin, for the illusion of water. This is a large piece 26" x 17" It is polished and waxed to a rich copper patina.
