Waiting @ The Dmv Modern Quilted Wall Hanging
The idea for this funky mod quilt came to me while I was waiting in a 2-hour line for my son to get his Learner's Permit. The wait was long, but I spent it happily sketching this cheerful, unique piece. This has some negative space in the form of cased holes around the edges.

Quilted wall hangings and art quilts designed and made by owner. I started quilting with help from my mother about eleven years ago. After attending the Houston International Quilt Festival In 2003 I realized that what I really wanted to do was make art quilts. Since then, I'm limited only by time! Crafted with imagination, determination, and a sense of humor, hopefully my pieces are imbued with the feelings of joy and excitement that go into the creation of each one.
