These signs can be done in Western Cedar, which is light brown, or Eastern Aromatic Cedar, which is red. The text can be inset or can be standing above the background. I have been making from wood for as long as I can remember. I take a great deal of pride in my work and will not accept a commission if I am not entirely sure I can complete it to your satisfaction. ShopDog Turnery is a one-person, one-dog operation making all sorts of custom items, primarily lathe based. This includes bottle-stoppers, wine glasses (with glass or wooden bowls), platters and plates, bowls, boxes, and whatever else springs to mind.
In addition to lathe work I make various flat pieces; tables, specialty boxes, cutting boards and, again, whatever else springs to mind.
I make for the joy of the making, using sustainably harvested and reclaimed or historical woods exclusively.
Molly was the ShopDog, but is no longer with us. She did all the "RUFF" work in the turnery.

For Bocce Sets With Painted Balls4.3Overall would recommend the bocce ball set. It is a beautiful gift and everyone who has seen it has loved it. Only drawback was he ran over a week late in shipping the item vs. what he had communicated in the proposal. The gift was to give to my fiancé on our wedding day, so it ended up cutting the timing really close. I did receive before the wedding, and Jim apologized for adding stress to the week. The bocce set itself and the box it came in was beautiful and my wife loves them. He was willing to personalize them (even had suggestions beyond my original idea!) and was easy to work with in that regard.
