Toasting Glasses In Cherry For A 50th Year Anniversary)

$150

The intertwined wedding rings around the stems of these wooden glasses are a traditional touch on handmade wooden Irish wedding glasses. They stand roughly eight inches high and three inches across and, following the tradition of the Irish Wedding Goblet, each pair is made from a single solid block, both cut from the same timber. This pair of glasses were made for the 50th Anniversary toast at the celebration of a special couple. ————————————————————— KEYWORDS: wood glasses, wooden glasses, hand turned glasses, lathe turned glasses, fifth anniversary, 5th anniversary, anniversary, irish wedding glasses, Irish glasses, toasting glasses, wooden toasting glasses, wooden anniversary glasses, wooden fifth year glasses, medieval glasses, medieval wedding, renaissance glasses, renaissance festival, wedding glasses, wedding toast, wedding toasting glasses, marriage glasses, marriage toast

This Maker has consistently demonstrated excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.

I have been making from wood for as long as I can remember. I take a great deal of pride in my work and will not accept a commission if I am not entirely sure I can complete it to your satisfaction. ShopDog Turnery is a one-person, one-dog operation making all sorts of custom items, primarily lathe based. This includes bottle-stoppers, wine glasses (with glass or wooden bowls), platters and plates, bowls, boxes, and whatever else springs to mind.

In addition to lathe work I make various flat pieces; tables, specialty boxes, cutting boards and, again, whatever else springs to mind.

I make for the joy of the making, using sustainably harvested and reclaimed or historical woods exclusively.

Molly was the ShopDog, but is no longer with us. She did all the "RUFF" work in the turnery.

I started out searching the Internet for a Zelda walking stick. I was unsuccessful at finding one but instead I found this amazing website and woodworker. The artist created an one of a kind piece that was both functional and unique. He was easy to work with communicated well and very professional. In the end he turned the physical reminder of my husband's limitations into something he is proud to use.

This is probably the most beautiful cutting board I've ever owned. Quality is absolutely the best and I'm sure I saved hundreds compared to purchasing anything similar retail.

I will be returning to this same artist should I ever need anything else (such as a chess board, which I am considering) and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs wordwork or wood kitchen gear.
