Size: 35"l x 8"w x 2.5"h Built around a lovely, vintage tin depicting an old Southern Home, complete with faded flower garden in the foreground and white picket fence around the sides, our 4-string Dulcitar consists of a repurposed Maple floorboard beautifully shaped and well-fretted. George placed 2 gold-toned mini sound holes on the face to allow the sound chamber to breathe and a piezo pickup inside to allow the player to plug in. 4 white plastic tuning machines add to the light color design of "The Old Home Place".

String Tinkers are makers of cigar-box guitars, ukuleles, canjos, dulcitars and fine instruments. They are located in the "Quiet Corner" of northeast Connecticut. The instruments they create are hand-made, one-of-a-kind, unique, and made to be played. Each instrument sounds unique and beautiful. The guitars are made with repurposed parts. The wood used is repurposed from floorboards from old houses. Partners,George Brin, our Luthier, Don Spaeth, and Anthony Foronda are passionate designers and musicians that want to bring back a taste of Americana to traditional musical instruments.
Celebrities who have our instruments include Fiona Apple and RIcky Scaggs.
