Custom Abstract Painting, Acrylic On Stretched Canvas, You Choose Color And Texture

$300+

DESCRIPTION: Paintings in this original series are best described as contemporary, nonobjective abstract art, yet can suggest an abstract landscape. Dark, medium, and light valued colors work together to create a soft, ikat-shaped, ombré pattern. Each made to order painting is an original, not a copy of a previous artwork. Your painting will be part of this ombré abstract series, but will have its own character--each painting in the series has slight variations of texture, brush stroke, glazing, and color placement so that you are getting an original variation, more valuable than a reproduction. I use high quality materials and archival procedures. The staple-free sides of the gallery-wrapped, stretched cotton canvas are painted, so you can hang this without framing for a contemporary look. The canvas signed on the back. A layer of archival, removable, UV-protective, gloss varnish protects your painting for years to come. *Before ordering, please measure the space you want to put the painting in to ensure this is the right size for you. CUSTOM COLORED: You choose three colors (in addition to white): one dark color, one medium color and one light color. These colors can be opaque or translucent (like a stained glass window.) CUSTOM TEXTURED: You can choose the amount of texture you want: smooth, lightly textured (with Golden molding paste) or heavily textured (with acrylic gel medium.) *If you choose heavy texture, please be sure to also choose 1 and 3/8" canvas depth. Thinner stretcher bars can get bent by heavy texture, so I only use them for smooth or lightly textured paintings. PROCESS: It will take four to eight weeks for me to make this for you before shipping. First, I double check colors and textures with you via email. Next, I make your painting in a series of layers: underpainting, texturing, glazing, and drybrushing. When the painting is done, I email you images of your painting for your approval. If you are satisfied, I let the painting fully dry, varnish it, and arrange shipping with you. If you would like changes, just email me and describe what you want. CHANGES & EDITS: I'm happy to make changes and edits to make your art look just the way you want. However, this may delay the completion of your project. If you notice, the listing says 4-8 weeks, even though I estimate 4-6 is most likely. 6-8 weeks is the time range for projects where changes are requested. SHIPPING COSTS: I will use FedEx's shipping calculator online to estimate these when you submit your request. Shipping costs range from $15-100. The cost depends upon the size of your painting(s) and how far from Illinois your location is. Artwork made with multiple canvases tends to cost less to ship than one large canvas. I ship via FedEx ground or FedEx home delivery. You can choose whether to upgrade to "certain date delivery" which guarantees which day it will arrive (so you can be sure you are home and the painting won't sit outside long.) SAFE ART PACKAGING: I very carefully wrap and cushion your painting so it will come to you unharmed. I wrap it in archival, non-stick tyvek (what some museums use to wrap stored art). Then I place your painting between large, firm foam planks and place foam on every side as well, then put this cushioned bundle in a large box. Note that the painting price factors in high quality packing materials which are the best way to protect your painting during transit. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Right now, this painting is not available for purchase outside the U.S.A. RETURNS: I only accept returns if there is shipping damage to your artwork. If this happens, contact me as soon as possible and we will work things out via FedEx returns.
