Standing On A Rock & Narrow Platform Base

  • History of Chinese Guardian Lions

Chinese guardian lions, also called Fu Lions, lions of Buddha, or sometimes stone lions (石獅, Pinyin: Shíshī) in Chinese art[1],
And is a common representation of the lion in pre-modern China, and were believed to have powerful mythic protective benefits. They have traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces, temples, emperors' tombs, government offices and the homes of government officials and the wealthy from the Han Dynasty (206 BC -220 AD), until the end of the empire in 1911.

  • Pairs of guardian lions are still placed as decorative and symbolic elements at the entrances to hotels, government structures, estates, homes and other structures, with one marble lion statue sitting on each side of the entrance.
NOTE: A pair of these Walking Lions would make a fabulous choice guarding your doorway. They are unforgettable and would enhance and compliment the front door of your home, your garden or your business entry.

What a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. We ordered a 7 foot tall, 2800 lbs marble statue of a custom made Poseidon for our garden. We are delighted both with the statue and the process! Stellar experience, extremely professional company, we were included in every aspect of the project and all of our expectations were met. We got exactly what we wanted, our requests were met as the project progressed. The statue is high quality, the work worthy of a museum. The delivery was timely (actually early), the packaging was well done, the delivery company took great care making sure we got our statue under the best conditions. WOW!
