I've been designing and making modernist studio furniture for over 35 years. I love solving the problems and addressing the challenges of creating beautiful, affordable things -- chairs, tables, desks, beds, lighting -- things that make a difference in people's lives.
I try to fuse the old ways with the new, like integrating metal structural elements with sensual hand-shaped wood parts, or studying how 3D printed parts can be combined with wood to enable new possibilities.
I believe furniture made of natural materials like wood, handled with integrity and treated with respect, help create positive spaces in which to live.

Dec 17, 2014Today I am expecting delivery in about a week to western Canada, but from photos of the finished product I am thrilled about the gift Stan has created for me to give to my husband at Christmas!!! I will tell what I think of it when it arrives and my husband's response!
