This 25" modernist stool is equally at home at the kitchen island, counter-height work desk, or in the guitar practice studio or performance venue. The footrest height adjusts with a simple and secure ratchet-stye system to support comfort and good posture -- whether eating, working, or playing any style guitar -- from acoustic classical to electric bass. This stool has a 'standard' back rest for average height people. This stool combines a hand-carved honduran mahogany seat, white ash legs, ash connector blocks, 6061 aluminum bracing system, 6061 aluminum adjustor, enameled steel footpegs, and 6061 aluminum back rest with mahogany comfort block attached with silicone o-rings. Woods can be varied, as can the height of the backrest, as can the height of the seat. The price range for this item is driven by the choice of wood. I've been designing and making modernist studio furniture for over 35 years. I love solving the problems and addressing the challenges of creating beautiful, affordable things -- chairs, tables, desks, beds, lighting -- things that make a difference in people's lives.
