Built using Grade 1, genuine US Military surplus ammunition cans that were previously used by the men and women of our US Armed Forces. They are nearly indestructible and feature a secure flip open lid with a rubber seal around the rim – making Ammodors 100% waterproof and air-tight.
The interior sides and bottom are lined with precision milled 1/4″ thick Spanish Cedar. Spanish Cedar is the preferred lining for high-end humidors since it offers natural protection from bugs, tobacco worms and mold. It has a high humidity absorption characteristics and is the perfect choice for an ideal cigar humidification environment. All linings are pressure-fitted using accurate 45 degree angled cuts. The bottom exterior of most Ammodors are lined with felt to prevent your humidor from scratching delicate table top surfaces.
All ammo cans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized – they will not ruin your cigars with harmful odors. Don't be fooled by inferior knock-off ammo can humidors. The first Ammodor® tactical ammo can cigar humidor was built in 1998 by Kevin Fisher while home from college in North Carolina. Ammodors are the original ammo box cigar humidor and are still the Worlds Toughest Humidors™.
