Wedding Dress
This wedding dress was for a bride overseas in Cyprus who had originally saw this design in a magazine in 2002 (magazine photo is 4th image) . This was her dream dress and I was determined to make it come to life. I used a gold iridescent organza for the sleeves and skirt overlay, I used an off white satin for the base of the dress and the lining. Last I used a gold embroidered tulle which I cut out and hand sewed to the bodice. For the back I used the tie up corset technique as well as making the ribbon myself. The sleeves are separate pieces that are ruffled on the ends and double layered in the center to add puff. This was definitely a fun piece to work on with an absolutely amazing bride! My company was created to display the beauty, abstract, and artistic side of my personality. Everything designed and created represents me as a person and is handmade by yours truly. I am a colorful, unique, detailed, artistic and fun-loving person. My art expands from canvass to clothing and everywhere in between.
Designing and sewing were gifts I grew up having, that I fine-tuned after graduation. I attended college focusing on designing and illustration, pattern making, draping, high end construction, and finishing. All in all I can make a delicious Couture garment.
I love designing and making original and couture clothing, especially, dresses and gowns. I love styles from the soft and romantic to the funky and fun, and everything in between. I am inspired by the 1920's-1940's era. Women were glamorous and their clothing expressed such style giving them a look that was expensive and priceless at the same time.
I want my clients vision to come to life. I want them to fall in love with how they look when they see themselves in my designs.
