Individually handcrafted of felted 100% Peruvian wool and used on top of your rubber mat. According to yoga philosophy, Chakras are several points of physical or spiritual energy in the human body, starting at the base of the spine and extending upwards to the crown of the head. Each of these energy centers is represented by a specific color and is associated with our well being on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. 1st The root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is red. 2nd The lower abdomen Chakra is represented by the color orange. 3rd The solar plexus Chakra is yellow. It's a nerve plexus in the abdomen above the navel. 4th The heart Chakra and is green. 5th The throat Chakra is bright blue. 6th This Chakra is located on the brow and is often called the Third Eye Chakra. Its color is a deep blue. 7th The Crown Chakra is located on the top of the head and is purple.

While practicing yoga, I envisioned that something softer, and with bit more cushioning than my rubber yoga mat, would enhance my asanas and meditation and provide a more enjoyable experience. So after many months of trial, error and tests with the participation of my yoga friends, the Yoga Mat Runner was born.
According to ancient texts on yoga, natural materials should be used in one’s yoga practice. During your yoga and mediation practice, natural fibers allow the collection and flow of energy. This allows you to be grounded to the earth during your practice.
