Individually handcrafted of felted 100% Peruvian wool and used on top of your rubber mat. Why wool? Because of wool's wonderful benefits: it's soft and supple with great strength and durability while having a luxurious texture. Scratchy? NO! The felting process makes the wool soft, comfortable and plush. Hot or cool? Cool! Most associate wool with warmth. But it can give you the best of both worlds, providing comfort in both warm and cool conditions. Wool is a natural fiber which has countless microscopic breathable air pockets between individual fibers.

While practicing yoga, I envisioned that something softer, and with bit more cushioning than my rubber yoga mat, would enhance my asanas and meditation and provide a more enjoyable experience. So after many months of trial, error and tests with the participation of my yoga friends, the Yoga Mat Runner was born.
According to ancient texts on yoga, natural materials should be used in one’s yoga practice. During your yoga and mediation practice, natural fibers allow the collection and flow of energy. This allows you to be grounded to the earth during your practice.
