I build several unique and creative firetable designs. By far my best add-on feature is the Korean BBQ feature. A slab of 1/4" thick metal channel (3" wide) is suspended over the propane or natural gas flame. Bowls of cubed steak, ahi tuna, shrimp, bell peppers, stuffed mushrooms, really whatever you might cook on a cast iron saute pan can be cooked on the Korean BBQ top. Each person has their own chop sticks or metal tongs and cooks at their own pace. The steel is removable for those nights when you don't want to cook and has legs that fit into the table to suspend the steel cooking surface whenever you'd like to add it on. Marinating the meat ahead of time keeps it from sticking and an assortment of dipping sauces keeps things interesting. This add-on slightly increases the cost of the firetable but endlessly increases the social atmosphere and versatility of the table, by far, one of my best innovations.

I am an independent metalworker, carpenter and artist working in the field of product design through furniture. I specialize in the production of industrial looking furniture and steel work. Within that I specialize in the production of outdoor patio fire pits and fire tables. I also partner with my sister's business, Orchid Princess Floral, which results in many custom metalwork candelabras and chandeliers carefully designed for aesthetic lighting purposes. I use a lot of local products, Colorado beatlekill pine and repurposed materials are some of my favorites. I love product design and being creative in building custom concepts for custom purposes.
