French Lace And Cut-Outs Custom Gown

French Lace And Cut-Outs Custom Gown

$3,500

This is a gown we have just made for an upcoming bride this Fall, 2015, so we can't reveal her photos yet, but here is a sneak peak of the gown sketch! This gown is vintage inspired and romantic with a modern twist. It is created in Organic Cotton Sateen with an overlay of nearly-sheer Organic Cotton Voile and Ivory French Alencon Lace accents. The neckline is a sweetheart cut with sheer lace straps. The bodice is fully overlaid with lace appliqués, and edges are hand-cut pieces of lace. The straps connect behind the neck and lead to a deep cut-out back design. Cut-outs are located on the sides of the bodice and in the center front, and each overlaid with tulle and edged in lace appliqués. The waistline in back is dipped slightly below the natural waistline, and features sheer lace coming up higher in back than the structured fabric for extra tension needed to hug the design into the body. The layers of Organic Cotton are cut into a slim fit-to-flair silhouette, with clean princess seams that taper the design to the figure and visually lengthen the body. In back, the dress has a triangular insert of fabric in the train to add detail and let it lay out beautifully. Hidden tulle under the dress supports the flair at the hem and can be tinted. The hem is finished with appliqués trim of Champagne lace, and mixed appliqués climb up the center of the train in back adding texture and interest to the train.

Our Unique Custom Process:

  1. Complimentary “Dream Dress Discussion”
First, set up your free designer consultation at our Mission, Kansas Studio or via Skype to co-design the all of the elements of your dress. It is helpful to have a few pictures of styles that you like… It’s all about you!

We will choose fabrics, determine every detail of your custom design, create your “Working Gown Sketch” in pencil, mail you fabric swatches, and take your measurements.

Once we have chosen all of the elements of your dress, we’ll give you an estimated custom quote, usually within $100-200 of the final price. We’ll be finalizing your exact cost after the consultation, when we can estimate the sewing time, fabric yardage, etc. more precisely.

  1. Finalize Design
After our “Dream Dress Discussion” we will hand-draw a “Fancy Gown Sketch” in pen for you, reflecting all of the elements we choose together at our first meeting. We’ll factor-in all of the costs and create your “Custom Proposal”.

Due to high demand, we are only able to create our hand-drawn custom gown sketch for serious inquiries, and require a deposit of $50, which applies to your initial gown deposit. See "Custom Gown Sketch Deposit" Listing

  1. Your Perfect Fit
Having your wedding gown custom made is great for Every BODY (including hard-to-fit sized not typically served by off-the-rack gowns, like plus sizes, petites, etc.) since each dress is made-to-measure. We'll send you a detailed measurement sheet with instructions to fill out.

  2. When to Order
Due to the intensive process of hand-making each special gown and our limited production capacity, we advise brides to order 1.5 years- 6 months BEFORE their wedding date. The earlier you order, the earlier you get the dress! We sometimes can rush orders with shorter timelines– contact us for availability.

  3. Your Gown is handmade in-house
Your authentic gown pattern and dress will be created, and your gown will be sewn using expert couture techniques by our small team.

  4. Fittings
Your gown pricing includes fittings to perfection if visiting our Studio outside of KC. Please let us know if you'll be visiting at the time of your order.

Then it’s time to rock that aisle, girl!

Note: We can take inspiration from other dress designs, but out of respect to other designers and laws we never exactly copy dresses by other designers.
