This gown was specially custom-made for Sarah, using all eco-friendly Organic Cottons. The silhouette is anA-line with a fitted natural waist. The dress is created in nearly sheer Organic Cotton Voile over Organic Cotton Sateen fabrics. The bodice of the gown features a strapless sweetheart under-bodice that dips into a lowered V in back. A Voile over-lay extends from the natural waistline into a scooped-boat-neck that leads into wide-set straps. In back, the overlay connects behind the neck to create an inverted tear-drop shaped opening. A ruched fabric sash covers the waist seam and ties into a generous bow in back. The bodice's "inner engineering" is built with fit and comfort in mind, and contains a canvas layer that stops at the natural waist with boning for structure and support. The skirt is an A-line fit that has tiny pleats at the waist that fall open to the floor. Hidden pockets are in the side-seams are a functional surprise. The outer, nearly sheer layer of Voile is ombre–dyed light to dark purple towards the hem, and has thicker Sateen fabric behind it to avoid sheerness in the skirt. The train is a short length that can be bustled for the reception. Our Unique Custom Process:
We will choose fabrics, determine every detail of your custom design, create your “Working Gown Sketch” in pencil, mail you fabric swatches, and take your measurements.
Once we have chosen all of the elements of your dress, we’ll give you an estimated custom quote, usually within $100-200 of the final price. We’ll be finalizing your exact cost after the consultation, when we can estimate the sewing time, fabric yardage, etc. more precisely.
Due to high demand, we are only able to create our hand-drawn custom gown sketch for serious inquiries, and require a deposit of $50, which applies to your initial gown deposit. See "Custom Gown Sketch Deposit" Listing
Your Perfect Fit
Having your wedding gown custom made is great for Every BODY (including hard-to-fit sized not typically served by off-the-rack gowns, like plus sizes, petites, etc.) since each dress is made-to-measure. We'll send you a detailed measurement sheet with instructions to fill out.
When to Order
Due to the intensive process of hand-making each special gown and our limited production capacity, we advise brides to order 1.5 years- 6 months BEFORE their wedding date. The earlier you order, the earlier you get the dress! We sometimes can rush orders with shorter timelines– contact us for availability.
Your Gown is handmade in-house
Your authentic gown pattern and dress will be created, and your gown will be sewn using expert couture techniques by our small team.
Fittings
Your gown pricing includes fittings to perfection if visiting our Studio outside of KC. Please let us know if you'll be visiting at the time of your order.
Then it’s time to rock that aisle, girl!
Note: We can take inspiration from other dress designs, but out of respect to other designers and laws we never exactly copy dresses by other designers.
