These journal collection sets are really quite extraordinary. Sets begin at $525 and run as high as you want to spend. Contact me for details. I'll make a set from the hides and color of your choice, the number of journals you desire and the size/specs that fit you best. The spec below are for the set represented in these images. -Each journal is this set measures 5-7/8" x 6-1/8" x 1-1/8" -Hides hand cut and trimmed into fashionable fold over designs -Hides are distressed pig skin, dark sepia textured bull hide, soft brown distressed cowhide and soft golden-buff suede -Each journal has a hand cut leather strap fully adjustable/removable -Journals have (5) hand stitched signatures of Folio 250w fine art/watercolor paper -Signatures stitched with waxen linen thread -100+ hand torn deckle edge pages -Finished with imported silk head bands -Signed by the journal maker My journals are truly hand bound books. No floppy signatures stitched to the spine, these journals are constructed using standard bookbinding materials. Every page is hand torn 250w fine art paper and most journals are adorned with original artwork and hand hammered copper, brass or silver All journals ship USPS Priority upon completion

As sole proprietor at Studio of Visual Arts, I have been a professional illustrator and printmaker for 35 years. My illustrative work is represented in five Louisiana State Museums, countless corporate collections and has received numerous prestigious grants. NewSouthBooks was born as a natural extension of that same artisanship. I am now producing and marketing handmade, leather bound journals of quality and distinction, each journal a unique presentation with original artwork as adornment. All leather, new or old, is hand-cut and trimmed. I use only the highest quality fine art/printmaking paper (250w), hand stitching each signature. My leather journals are truly bound books using traditional book binding materials. Adding to the distinction is the incorporation of original artwork to inside covers and often, the middle signature. On this site, you'll see many examples of work previously completed for clientele.
