Handmade leather bound journal comes with stunning copper adornment, tea stained pages and beautiful original silk screen art on the inside. Ruggedly constructed from rich dark sepia leather, this journal is the perfect companion for the landscaper, landscape artist or anyone who just likes being part of the landscape. Throw it in a saddlebag, backpack or suitcase. Throw it on the truck's dashboard, the seat of that old boat or the glass desk top of your high rise office. Carry it anywhere, it'll serve you well. Cool copper keyhole with natural patina on the front cover too! My journals are truly bound handmade books. No floppy signatures stitched to the spine, these journals are constructed using standard bookbinding materials. Every page is hand torn 250w fine art paper and most journals are adorned with original artwork and hand hammered copper, brass or silver -Measures 6-1/4" x 6-7/8" x 1-1/4" of rich dark sepia leather -Hand-cut & trimmed in natural fold-over design -36" hand-cut dark sepia leather strap adjustable & removable -Strap secured by hand-cut piece of copper with natural patina -Front cover also features a hand-cut piece of copper on lapel -Inside covers feature beautiful original serigraphic work -Five hand stitched signatures of tea stained Stonehenge fine art/drawing paper 250w -Signatures stitched with waxen linen thread -100+ hand-torn pages with deckle edge -Finished with imported head bands and . . . hold on . . . my signature!

As sole proprietor at Studio of Visual Arts, I have been a professional illustrator and printmaker for 35 years. My illustrative work is represented in five Louisiana State Museums, countless corporate collections and has received numerous prestigious grants. NewSouthBooks was born as a natural extension of that same artisanship. I am now producing and marketing handmade, leather bound journals of quality and distinction, each journal a unique presentation with original artwork as adornment. All leather, new or old, is hand-cut and trimmed. I use only the highest quality fine art/printmaking paper (250w), hand stitching each signature. My leather journals are truly bound books using traditional book binding materials. Adding to the distinction is the incorporation of original artwork to inside covers and often, the middle signature. On this site, you'll see many examples of work previously completed for clientele. For Leather Bound Bible Niv Version Distressed Brown Cowhide New Ready To Ship (577)4.7Making this purchase was a breeze. It turned out to be a beautiful Bible that smells just as good as it looks. It has soft leather with a worn character feel. It is a 10/10 purchase. The one downside, that is not really a big deal, is that the strap is a lighter color, and it wraps both around the front and the back with short ends. It doesn't "tie" very good. I had the feeling it was one long strap that could be wrapped around several times with an easy tuck on the second or third wrap around the book. Besides this minor miscommunication in photos, it is an amazing Bible I will have for years. Thank you for the time and effort you put into crafting this Bible's exterior.
