Fold-forming refers to a series of metalsmithing techniques pioneered by Charles Lewton-Brain. I used cross-folds to form the copper front of this buckle, adding accents in sterling silver and a heavy brass backing. The buckle is 3" x 2.25". This listing includes a 32 - 46 inch long x 1 1/2 inch wide, brown or black leather belt.

Alex Lewandowski is a metalsmith from Fairbanks, Alaska. He specializes in the fabrication of ethically sourced, sterling silver and gold jewelry. He has a clean, yet rustic style, and enjoys working on both simple, understated designs, as well as large, sculptural attention grabbers.
I had some initial concerns with the penultimate version of the bracelet/cuff I requested, which the designer expertly accommodated prior to shipping the final version. The cuff is beautiful!
Alex was great to work with. He made the process easy and what a great end result.
Artisans like Alex are why the CustomMade site is so great. He is an absolute master at his craft, and he truly made my vision come alive, in a form better than I had ever imagined. He completely hand-fabricates his artworks - his creations are genuinely works of art - and involves his patrons in every step of the process as well as caters to their every need. I will definitely come back to Alex whenever I am I need of a jeweler. Thank you Alex!
Alex helped me create a unique and special pendant. I had a basic idea in mind and Alex helped me pull it together with helpful suggestions and creative recommendations. Alex is patient, and prompt to answer questions - I asked a lot of them. I recommend him highly, and if the need ever arises, will be a repeat customer. LOVE the pendant, Alex. Thank you.
Love it!!!! Was just what we wanted!!
