This Silver (Rock) Maple is some of the most highly figured wood I have had the pleasure to Mill and work with. The top itself is a center cut slab lending itself to the quarter sawn category. Leg system is from another slab out of the same tree so as to give the piece a 360 degree stellar wood grain aesthetic. The table is large enough to seat eight adults comfortably and thick enough to outlive us and several generations of posterity.

I am Andy Baugus, of 2nd Life Wood, and I have been milling large wood slabs and making furniture for over 23 years here in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. I have many different species of indigenous hardwoods from walnut, oak, cherry, maple, elm, box elder, and other hardwoods available. I get my trees from construction removed, storm damaged, and dead standing. I rescue wood that would be considered useless and turn them into fine pieces of furniture. Otherwise they would be dumped into ravines or burned in the piles they were salvaged from. I also do custom jobs on furniture to your liking. From coffee tables to conference tables, bar tops, or desk, counter tops, and dinning tables.
