Dec 7, 2018REVIEWCommunication prior to order was cumbersome. This is the result of communications routed through CustomMade. McNally responses were as timely as possible. Ultimately this method of communication resulted in a misunderstanding and error in construction. The error is the placement of wall mounts. Currently, the wall mounts do not line up with studs. I wrote out how to measure for placement of wall mounts and asked for further communication if needed. Mr. McNally indicated he understood the placement of wall mounting hardware. It is now clear, he did not understand. I believe that had I been allowed to speak directly with Mr. McNally this error could have been avoided. As it is, I need to hire a local craftsman to correct this error.Quality of wood construction was very good. The wood finish consisting of stain and topcoat was acceptable.Delivery was two weeks later than time originally projected as completion time.Considering value; as the piece stands now, the value is poor. Mar 13, 2019Delighted with the result. The stain color is perfect! And it has the rustic look but finished feel we hoped for. The turnaround time for a custom piece is remarkable as well. It arrived well-packaged, delivered to our doorstep. The only suggestion I’d make (not a complaint) is, it’d be nice if it came with the appropriate-sized wall screws to hang it so we don’t have to figure it out and go buy them elsewhere. It’s just what we hoped for.

Dec 22, 2014all was good and communication and transaction went smooth. I feel the packing of the product needs to be a little more protective as the piece had some damage on the two top back corners. The damage will not be seen and not a big deal but could be solved by better packaging.
