This dining table is made from two beautiful slabs of Cherry. The top is bookmatched and has a nice curley grain pattern. I inlayed butterfly keys made of ebony to stabilize the split at one end of the table. the bark has been removed from the edges creating a smooth "live edge". The slabs were selected for their wonderful grain and the slight curve to their outer edges. This curve allows me to create a nice "boat top" shape, allowing all 14 persons to see each other while dining.
