I cannot say enough good things about our first experience with CustomMade and, more importantly, with RockyTop WoodWorks. From our first contact with RockyTop, Rick was great to work with. In addition to taking care and listening to what we wanted, he took the time to ask the right questions so we'd also get what we needed. We worked very closely with him on the design and features of our bookwall and he gave us exactly what we'd always wanted - a beautiful place to store our books. The final result is really a beautiful piece of art, just gorgeous to look at and exactly what we'd hoped for. Rick was professional and prompt with all our communications - he kept us informed as his progress moved towards completion with both pictures and video. The attention to detail with regards to our project was first rate - everything from wood choices, number of shelves, door handles, and getting a large piece installed in a tight space were taken into consideration and the result was a wonderful experience. Rick came in early on his completion date estimate and delivered and installed the bookwall without any problems. The professionalism he brought to this project and the craftsmanship of the work is just top notch and we absolutely love what he created for us ( and we've had nothing but raves from everyone who's seen the bookwall ). Rick Hensley A Star is Born. Rick was given a piece of white pine, which was at least 100 years old. He was asked to make a coffee table. The wood had been preserved in the rafters of a garage. It had Formica on one side and paint on the other. Rick is a great communicator. After a long discussion, it was decided that he would make a table with a floating top, and base made of fur. He directed me where to find many pictures to get ideas for what I wanted. There were several e-mails and another in-person consultation. Rick is prompt answering e-mails. And, he wanted to create what I wanted. In the finished product, he rounded the ends and routed the sides of the board. Rick is friendly. He welcomes conversation and suggestions. Rick answers e-mails quickly. He is fully responsive to the customer. The table is sculpture. It is art. Rick Hensley of “Rockytop Woodworks" is a rare discovery. He is a five star artisan. D.L.
