Charles W. Morgan Whaleship Hull Rivets
These were done as part of a restoration of America's only wooden whaleship. I was selected to lead the team that made and installed the rivets holding the planks to the ship skeleton. I made over 150 copper rivets by hand and personally installed 75+. While not for sale, they are a representation of my work as a shipwright.

I am a carpenter by trade and artist by accident. My creations come, in material and form, from the world around me. I have spent a lot of time traveling and around water. Therefore I draw on the techniques and materials that I use directly reflect the experiences I am having on a daily basis. Oak from structural ship timbers to carving techniques used by shipwrights, my personal work acts a mirror of my life.
