Purple Heart, Ebony, And Whaleship
Handmade in Burlington, Vermont by Matthew Burstein Creations
This small bread board is made with exotic hardwoods as well as pieces of America's only wooden whaleship. As a shipwright's apprentice there, I had access to a limited supply of material suitable for use in a hand full of products. This is one-of-a-kind and can be found no where else.

Matthew Burstein Creations
I am a carpenter by trade and artist by accident. My creations come, in material and form, from the world around me. I have spent a lot of time traveling and around water. Therefore I draw on the techniques and materials that I use directly reflect the experiences I am having on a daily basis. Oak from structural ship timbers to carving techniques used by shipwrights, my personal work acts a mirror of my life.
