John Callentine Woodworking
I’m a self-taught custom furniture designer and builder. I started my woodshop in 1976 at my home in the desert outside Tucson, Arizona. I’m still in the same location and I’ve been making beautiful things for people ever since.
I work mainly in the Craftsman style using traditional mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery. I like to use contrasting woods, with mesquite being a favorite for accents.
I personally design, build, and finish everything that leaves my shop. I work closely with customers from concept to design to final shop drawings to ensure their satisfaction. During the building process I communicate with customers frequently to keep them up to date on the progress of their job.
I welcome the opportunity to work with you to design and create a beautiful and lasting piece of heirloom furniture.
