Satin And Lace Flounce Blouse

$30

This satin blouse with lace overlay features a flounced collar. It fastens with three large snaps and is intended as either a work blouse, or for going out. It is machine washable, but requires some minor ironing to keep it looking crisp and fresh. The lace is from an old wedding dress that I found and the satin was bought from a fellow seamstress trying to pair down her inventory. I built this blouse as a summer sophistication look, because all of my office type clothing was just too hot! Something about the design of this blouse: what makes it a truly great piece is the princess seams that help follow the contours of the body and create an hour-glass figure. I used a pattern from the 1980's to create this top and it is still in my inventory.

My mission is to help bring confidence to individuals style. We are all uniquely built and configured, so why don't our clothes follow in suit? I am a short, curvy, girl and I do not fit the factory standards. I'm married to a tall, skinny, man that can never find a pair of pants that fit. I want to help those of you like us that just want something to fit the first time! So please, let me hem, take in, let out, dart, or shape your wardrobe. I promise it will make you feel great!

My name is Jenna Kelly, and I operate Urban Custom: Hand-Tailored Clothing.
This is a home-grown operation: from dresses and jackets to pants and shirts, everything is made by me, right here in the USA.

*Custom-Fit: Individually styled, sized, and figured clothing.
*Alteration: Old clothes re-styled or fixed to look like new.

  • I aim to make everything I build machine washable. It makes it much easier to look fabulous for less work.
