Paper Pet Portraits

Handmade in Vancouver, Washington by Risa Rocks It

$88.18+

Making pet portraits is probably one of my favorite things to do. Mine are unique in that I make the portraits out of several layers of cut paper. Each layer is shaded using colored pencil. I will raise certain layers to add some depth to the piece. Sometimes the backgrounds are made of additional layers of paper, and sometimes they are made of paper with a printed pattern or background.

I combine fine art with a fun, youthful "punk rock" energy. My background is in both traditional art as well as digital illustration.

My work has been featured on television, in magazines, books, and popular blogs such as The Hostess with the Mostess.

Marisa did it again! My project couldn't have turned out better. I'm thrilled with every aspect of working with Marisa and can't wait to work with her again.
