My client needed something to fill a space in his townhouse. The area is narrow with a high ceiling. I pitched the Idea of tall bookcases framed to one side by wood paneling. My client like the idea so I ran with it. Dimensions: Bookcases 12' High X 6' in width Paneling 8' X 5' in width Materials: The bookcase carcass is constructed with 3/4 Baltic Birch and face framed with 3/4 solid oak fluted vertically with an ogee edge on the aprons. I used slip tenons to attach the face-frame to the carcass of the bookcase so there is no visible hardware. The paneling is oak veneer framed in 3/4 solid oak with and ogee edge. I topped the bookshelf with crown molding and used the same molding for the top of the paneling. The overall look is classic yet clean. I think it fit the space nicely.

Fine handmade furniture and goods from locally sourced sustainably harvested wood.. All projects are designed and built by me, William Ney - I'm a one-man show. My aim is to build quality furniture from reclaimed and sustainably harvested hardwoods that will last for generations. One of my dining tables was recently featured in the "Kitchen Tours of the Bluegrass" held in Lexington, KY, in July, 2013.
Thanks for looking. Any and all questions are not only welcome, but encouraged.

For Dining Table And Benches Reclaimed White Oak With Hairpin LegsWe ordered a 84" reclaimed wood dining table with two benches from William and we couldn't be more impressed. From the final finishes, to the shipping, to the assembly, we're thoroughly pleased with the work. A great value, better than anything we could have bought at West Elm or other big box stores. Thanks Will!

For Dining Table And Benches Reclaimed White Oak With Hairpin LegsMy wife and I had been looking for the perfect table for our breakfast area, and we didn't just want a table, but a place where family and friends could gather and make memories together. When I found the CustomMade page, and William Ney's table, my wife said, "That's it!" The proposal was acceptable, and we immediately committed to buy the table and benches. My wife was hosting a baby shower for a dear friend the weekend after we got the table. Everything with the delivery was perfect. It was a snap to assemble and we are enjoying it already and can't wait to celebrate it with our friends and family. After conversing with Will several times during the process, I know that he is not just a furniture-maker, but a craftsman and an artisan. His work is unique. I would heartily recommend William Ney's work again.

For rustic tableI couldn't be happier. This man is an artist. Not only does he love what he does, he takes pride in his work and is extremely conscientious and meticulous. The table I ordered is a work of art. Hard to find these days. I will be ordering more pieces from Will in the future !
