This is a mantel I made for a client to match a beach themed table I recently completed for them. The mantel is 2 1/4" Thick 7 1/4" deep X 54" Long Composed of 100% solid reclaimed wood The small shells at either end of the mantel are slightly recessed into the wood to keep them understated. The top is chafered cleanly, while the base has a sort of undulating line adding to the beach concept. Old circular saw marks left by a water powered circular saw that originally milled the wood in the 1800's is evident on the front of the mantel. Finished with Annie Sloans 'paloma' chalk paint ,sealed with an artisan finish, and rubbed thoroughly with two coats of dark wax.

Fine handmade furniture and goods from locally sourced sustainably harvested wood.. All projects are designed and built by me, William Ney - I'm a one-man show. My aim is to build quality furniture from reclaimed and sustainably harvested hardwoods that will last for generations. One of my dining tables was recently featured in the "Kitchen Tours of the Bluegrass" held in Lexington, KY, in July, 2013.

Thanks for looking. Any and all questions are not only welcome, but encouraged.

My wife and I had been looking for the perfect table for our breakfast area, and we didn't just want a table, but a place where family and friends could gather and make memories together. When I found the CustomMade page, and William Ney's table, my wife said, "That's it!" The proposal was acceptable, and we immediately committed to buy the table and benches. My wife was hosting a baby shower for a dear friend the weekend after we got the table. Everything with the delivery was perfect. It was a snap to assemble and we are enjoying it already and can't wait to celebrate it with our friends and family. After conversing with Will several times during the process, I know that he is not just a furniture-maker, but a craftsman and an artisan. His work is unique. I would heartily recommend William Ney's work again.

William built me a beautiful reclaimed table/desk. It is everything I'd hoped for: skillfully crafted and artfully designed. My family will enjoy countless hours around it, sharing and building keepsake memories.

I couldn't be happier. This man is an artist. Not only does he love what he does, he takes pride in his work and is extremely conscientious and meticulous. The table I ordered is a work of art. Hard to find these days. I will be ordering more pieces from Will in the future !

We ordered a 84" reclaimed wood dining table with two benches from William and we couldn't be more impressed. From the final finishes, to the shipping, to the assembly, we're thoroughly pleased with the work. A great value, better than anything we could have bought at West Elm or other big box stores. Thanks Will!
