Writing Desk Cherry With Oak Inlay
Dimensions 42"L X 24"D X 31"H Materials: Cherry Reclaimed Oak I made this desk for a client who is moving into a new office. The office was fairly small with a minimal amount of clutter. The client wanted a design that looked overall traditional yet had some unique elements presented in an understated manner. We decided on a traditional style solid cherry writing desk with a single drawer and tapered legs. The unique yet subtle elements are: The tabletop has a 1/8" reclaimed white oak inlay that produces a subtle contrast with the cherry. Solid wood drawer on wooden slides with a handmade cherry pull. Construction: Traditional doweled mortise and tenon construction. wooden blocks with slotted screws secure the base to the tabletop.
