These are unique, decorative bowls with open, covered and carved designs; styles range from traditional through contemporary. Custom bowls and bowl series are designed and turned by hand to the same exacting standards as its proprietary bowls.

Picinae Studios is a creative studio that designs, manufactures and sells fine, handmade wooden accents and accessories. We specialize with turning and our products include table lamps, floor lamps, specialty bowls, lamp finials, rolling pins, specialty wands and staffs, prototyping and custom turnings. Our products are hand-made from raw materials into finished goods using woods from around the world, hand rubbed finishes and solid brass components. They are unique, numbered and signed pieces with an elegant, distinguished quality and style.

He's very thoughtful in his messages as with the project. He will make drawings to confirm that he understands what you're talking about. He will also explore solutions with you on any challenges that may arise. Working with David even minus the finished product, in and of itself, an expression of art. For Custom Container/Bowl with lid5.0I cannot recommend David enough for any of your carpenter type projects/needs! I contacted several other carpenters and they either didn't respond or I received an email days later. David was the first who responded immediately and showed that he cared by asking all sorts of questions regarding my project. I sent a rough sketch (although I had VERY specific measurements involved) and within 24 hours he provided me a digital version of my prototype which was the most beautiful blue print I had ever seen. Precise, crystal clear, exactly what I imagined. After spending a night going through artistic craziness I contacted him to make an adjustment and could only describe it with two words "more rounded" he immediately got to work and sent me a revised blue print which illustrated exactly what I asked for (I provided no sketch), amazing. He must be telepathic…no wait, he's just that good!
If you send him an email, you can expect him to respond quickly and thoroughly. Being new to ordering "custom made" items, I didn't know what price to expect, however, it was very reasonable and for the service I received, I almost feel like it was too low. They should add a "tip" section to this website.
When I finally received my custom made item, it felt like Christmas arrived early. Perfection! He nailed it. No scary surprises or changes made. Absolutely stunning. I couldn't be happier with his work and customer service. What a pleasant experience in this day and age when it's so hard to find. I highly recommend David and Picinae Studios! Thanks again.
