Lamp Finials
Picinae makes fine wooden lamp finials as the finishing detail to secure a shade on a lamp. These are hand made with woods from around the world, solid brass fittings and hand rubbed finishes. They fit (screw) onto a standard lamp harp and center on the shade spider; unlike most commercial finials, the brass adapter is concealed once the finial is installed. Picinae has many different finial patterns ranging from traditional through contemporary, patterns can be scaled for different size finials and many different woods are available to provide a wide selection of colors. Custom finials are made to the same exacting standards as its proprietary finials.

We specialize with turning and our products include table lamps, floor lamps, specialty bowls, lamp finials, rolling pins, specialty wands and staffs, prototyping and custom turnings. Our products are hand-made from raw materials into finished goods using woods from around the world, hand rubbed finishes and solid brass components. They are unique, numbered and signed pieces with an elegant, distinguished quality and style.

I've made an extremely unique request and he's addressed each point with such attention to detail that leaves you knowing that he cares about your project as much as you do. He's very thoughtful in his messages as with the project. He will make drawings to confirm that he understands what you're talking about. He will also explore solutions with you on any challenges that may arise. Working with David even minus the finished product, in and of itself, an expression of art. He is an artist, a perfectionist and an excellent communicator. He has a gift for explaining very detailed aspects of his design process from the planning stage to final execution.
