A customer had seen I create bookends on my website and asked me if I could create him a bookend in the shape of a "C", which was the first letter of his girlfriend's name. He knew he liked the look of oak and wanted bark, so I came up with the idea to cut a already hollow log into the shape to give a more natural look as he desired. The bookend is made from a Red Oak log and has a cut flat base for stability and is also cut flat on the book edge. It is approximately 8" in diameter and 5" deep.
Missouri Nature Art
Missouri Nature Art specializes in creating unique furniture and home decor using natural or "live edge" wood and driftwood. We have many items we create on a regular basis, but we really enjoy bringing custom ideas to life!
We love working with beautiful lesser known woods that have a ton of character. All of our wood is either rescued, found, or reclaimed/salvaged from Missouri, although we don't mind branching out into other North American woods for certain projects.
Our hallmarks are great customer service and quality to last a life time. Thanks for browsing our shop!
I'm thrilled with the driftwood frame that Matt made. It is just beautiful and he was a delight. Excellent communication and wanting to make me happy with the final results. This was achieved. I highly recommend his work and will definitely order from him again. Thank you, Matt!
Very happy with the frame I received. Matt took my preferences into account, kept to the timeframe he laid out at the start of the project, and showed me pics every step of the way. Will certainly work with him again.
Matt is a master artist and craftsman. He made 3 frames for me and they are incredible. Everyone who see them comments on how amazing they look. Thank you Matt!
Matt was a blast to work with! He is a true professional and artisan of his craft... Highly recommend his work!
It has been a pleasure working with Matt. It would be great if all business correspondence was this cordial, professional and timely. I love the picture frames that were crafted and shipped to me. We are discussing a second project. Matt: thank you for your fine taste, artistry and excellence. Will
