Custom Crystalline-Glazed Mugs
Mugs are one of the most common pieces of ceramic wares that are purchased. These were designed for a small coffee company and roaster, Colden Coffee. Their logo and slogan were hand-carved and made into ceramic stamps. These stamps were pressed into the clay on both sides of the mug and stained in a red iron oxide to make the design pop. They were then coated in wax before glazed in a few different crystalline glazes. As they fired in the kiln, the wax burned off, revealing a clean surface to clearly show the logo and slogan. Each of these mugs stand approx. 5.25" tall and hold 12-14oz. They are both microwave and dishwasher safe.
