This dream like table and ottoman bring old fashion and modern in the same field. Wood carving in the front of the table is from 1934, found on the street. Contrast between Roman look front legs and minimal back legs bring unity to the table. Also wood trim and silver leaves in the back legs are the part of the same unity concept. Hanging tassels in front and silver leather paisley on top of the table reflect the connection to my fashion background. 43¼L x17¾ W x 27¾H inches

Sheby was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in NY, as a Fashion Designer IN 1991. After she had finished school, she moved back to Istanbul. From there, she started working in fashion industry. In 1993, she opened her own line and sold until 2000. In the year 2000, she decided to close everything down and move to the U.S in which she fell in love at first sight.
Sheby’s lifelong dream has always been to work on furniture and interior design. Finally, her artistic side pushed her to work by designing Avant-Garde Furniture. Her fashion background influences her to use many different forms of textile products in furniture and wall art designs. All her furniture and wall-arts are hand painted, stained, some wood parts are hand crafted. And also one of a kind!
These unique, handcrafted, flavorful art pieces make a bold statement in every interior platform. The prevailing idea of her designs are that there are no matching parts with each piece being unique and one of a kind.
The fusion of art and furniture collages creates a powerful image that can be appreciated by all. She embellishes her furniture and wall-art by using off beat materials mixed with various palettes and paint textures that travel through different eras to bring a breath of fresh air and vision to the interior design industry. Clichés are broken and the monotony of casual furniture is done away with a composition of classic styles with an avant-garde approach that are theatrical in presentation.
