Custom Writing Box
A wonderful new version of the antique writing box. This box is made from figured cherry. It measures sixteen inches long, eight inches deep and five inches tall. It is made to hold writing tools and a A-5 size journal. The writing slopes are hinged to provide access to storage compartments found beneath the slopes. The box measures sixteen inches long, eight inches wide and five inches tall. It is made entirely of figured cherry wood, no secondary woods are used. The spinner knob and attached lever are made from rosewood. All the hardware is brass. the hinges are custom made for me by a local machinist. The box is finished with six coats of varnish, polished to a silky smoothness.

I am a custom furniture maker with more than twenty five years of experience making fine furniture. I work in a large workshop located next to my home. I have successfully completed hundreds of custom furniture orders.
I have designed, built, and shipped many large pieces of furniture to customers through CustomMade.com, now Maker Marketplace.com, Etsy and my Shopify store. The furniture has been well received. Customers usually comment on the quality of the piece(s), the materials, and the level of craftsmanship.
The process begins with a message from the potential customer. I follow up with design drawings and a proposal that includes the price, delivery date, and a written description of the furniture with all the special details. I am responsible for all the shipping arrangements.

For Retail Display For Essential Oil Bottles5.0David made several great suggestions that improved on my original custom design. This was not for holding vials of essential oils, the vials hold rock samples taken every 10 feet from the surface down to 340 feet while we were drilling our well. The display shows an interesting variation of rock types at different depths. You'd have to be a geologist to really appreciate this display. Looks museum-grade. 5 stars all around!
