This piece came to mind after I found the wood. The top is locally harvested book matched silk oak. The trestle base is also constructed of locally harvested oak. I chose a trestle style not just for its structural integrity but I feel it matches the rustic feel of the top. The finish is a Krystal high gloss ultra durable high end cabinet finish.
