Railroad Spike Coat Rack Modern Abstract Rustic Repurpused Recliamed Up-Cycled

This five hook coat rack is made using reclaimed scrap metal and railroad spikes. The flat stock were remnants left over from a previous project, measuring 2 1/2" wide, and were destine for the scrap heap. They were welded together in a zigzag shape and then using a grinder given a modern abstracted finish. The spikes have been cut down and then wire brushed and plug welded from the back so you don't see the welds. Then four counter sunk mounting holes are added. To finish it off, a clear polyurethane finish is applied to protect the coat rack from oxidizing/rusting. This is a substantial rack that would be great for coats and bags and would go well in a home or office setting. It would make the perfect gift for a railroad enthusiast!
