Baby quilts are dear gifts. I can use your own meaningful fabrics and embroideries along with textiles from my own collection to compose a small quilt for a baby. About 40x40" seems to be an ideal size. These quilts are particularly good for 'tummy time,' because they don't bunch up. All my quilts are hand quilted with visible sashiko style stitches. We can work together to find a theme and quilt design that works for your new baby! This quilt was commissioned, and inspired by a previous work titled, "Ice Cream." Looking at my other quilts may be a great way for you to find inspiration too.

I am an artist, trained at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I inherited a family tradition of quilt making from my maternal grandmother.
I specialize in using found fabrics, and transform them into a quilt rich with memories. Your family heirloom textiles can be incorporated with my fabric collection to create a one of a kind work of art for your home, office, or creative space. I use a sashiko inspired hand quilting technique that employs thicker thread for a highly visible quilted line.
I look forward to collaborating with you to create a unique work of art!
