I've always been intrigued with tessellation, so the idea here was to create a set of coasters based on a simple tessellation. I began with a simple sketch which I then used to create the computer file. I used 1/4 engineered birch, which I sanded, stained, and then applied several coats of lacquer. I then used the laser to cut the individual pieces. On the back I added felt pieces to prevent the coasters from scratching table surfaces. Coasters are functional as well as fun to play with.

We use our laser to create hooks, signs, and wall décor from wood. In addition we have cut panels for use in Hollywood set designs.
