To call this sheer evening cover-up a 'poncho' is to do it a serious injustice; but 'super-fantabulous bit-of-bling get-you-noticed evening apparel' isn't nearly as search-engine friendly, so what am I going to do? I've hand embroidered garlands of silver thread, vintage sequins and sparkly glass seed beads across the boat neckline of the evening poncho and down the shorter (about 24") side seam. To balance things out, there's a bit more bling on the top and bottom front of the longer (roughly 37") side. The poncho is asymmetrical, and drapes gracefully whether or not it's worn off the shoulder. Hortense, my dress form (a little bitty girl), wears a size six with ease, and you can see how well the poncho fits her. I'm more of a size 12, and it looks grand on me, too. This is no mere poncho; it's a glamor piece to stop the show.
