Khal Drogo Cosplay

This cosplay was made for a client who has become a very dear friend. He wanted to portray Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones with the highest accuracy possible. (He went to boot camp for almost a year to get the right physique) This project took me about 3 months to make and was very labor intensive. I used materials that would be available to the character on the show including bison leather, rabbit fur and hair-on goat skin. Each piece was lovingly hand crafted with obsessive attention to detail, down to the hand-painted blood splatter on the pants. I collaborated with two other artists to make the medallion belt and everything was shipped off in time for Rene to take the Blizzard Costume Contest by storm! (he won 1st place)
