Mermaid Wedding Dress
I created this wedding dress for a very dream client who moonlights as a professional mermaid. She wanted something elegant and relaxed for her tropical beach wedding, but also something unique that had a bit of color. Then she told me she wanted to get it wet… It took a little strategizing, but we were both super pleased with the results. I ended up making this dress in two parts, an under dress in teal silk and an overdress in cream chiffon and lace. This way she could take off the overdress at the reception and have a cute little party dress for dancing and celebrating. Also the underdress would give her coverage for the underwater shots without losing the filmy dreamy quality of the organza.
